Note that in other reporting tools such as SSRS or Crystal Reports, you cannot layout the user interface elements without first setting up the data source. In Pixel Perfect Reports there is no such constraints, and you can perform the action in whatever order that suits you.

Adding a Chart

Click on the Chart button on the left toolbar and drag out a rectangle on the canvas to add the chart on the canvas.

Resize and position it at the desired location.

In the Chart type select whether it is Bar chart or Pie chart.

Attaching a data source

Double click on the chart to attach a data source. Go to the Layout tab, click the Y-axis and the X-axis and enter an expression to set how it acquires it data.

Preview Your Report

Use the “Preview” tab to test your chart and ensure it displays correctly. Check for any formatting issues or data inaccuracies.

Best Practices

1. Choose the Right Chart Type:

Select a chart type that best represents your data. For example, use pie charts for proportions and bar charts for trends over time.
